5 Questions For The New Year

As you prepare to begin a new year, here are 5 questions to help you know if Jesus is first in your life...

#1. Is He First in Your Finances?
Luke 12:34 “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
16 out of the 38 parables deal with money.
The 10th Commandment says, "Thou shall not COVET" – Materialism

#2. Is He First In Your Interests?
Matthew 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God..."
You prioritize what you are committed to…
Is Jesus first or is He lost in your other interests?

#3. Is He First In Your Relationships?
2nd Corinthians 6:14 "Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers."
Do not "flirt to convert". Don't put Christ on the back burner to try to be "cool enough" to win others to Him.

#4. Is He First In Your Schedule?
Psalm 63:1 "You are my God and I will seek you early in the morning"
You should start your day with Jesus as that will positively effect your schedule.
Read the Bible 15 minutes a day and you will read through the whole bible in a year. Dusty Bibles lead to dirty lives.

#5. Is He First In Your Trouble?
Ps 121 (Read it)
What do you do when trouble comes?
Do you bottle it up, be filled with anger, fear, anxiety, or stress?
Your first call shouldn't be to the counselor, doctor, friends, or even to your pastor, no...it’s to JESUS!

Get the answers to these 5 questions in order, and you'll be on your way to having the new year in order as well. Be blessed and have a great new year!
